Mrs. Paria Mahjour, M Sc PT
Paria received her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from university of Alberta in 2015. Prior to completing her Master’s degree, she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary in 2011. She worked as a Kinesiologist for one year, helping individuals recovering from traumatic brain injury and stroke improve their functional abilities.
Paria has successfully completed continuing education courses including her Level I and II certification of the Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative for the lower and upper extremity. She is also certified in Functional Dry Needling, and is working towards receiving her certification in Acupuncture. She has also completed courses in Concussion Management, Mulligan concept for the lower quadrant, and lymphaedema management. Paria enjoys assessing and treating individuals with a wide range of musculoskeletal issues, sports-related injuries, concussion and vestibular dysfunctions.
In her spare time, Paria enjoys being outdoors, spending time with her family, and practicing yoga. She loves to travel and has visited several countries around the world.
Mr. Moustafa Elsayed, B Sc PT
Moustafa has been a practicing physiotherapist for over 14 years. He has had the opportunity to practice in a variety of clinical settings; ranging from multidisciplinary outpatient clinics to numerous types of hospital settings. Moustafa is certified in Kinetacore Level 1 functional dry needling, and also a manual therapy practitioner.
Moustafa has achieved his CRAFTA (Craniofacial Therapy Academy) certificate for craniomandibular dysfunction. This allows him to assess and treat various types of facial and jaw dysfunction, as well as concussion related symptoms. Moustafa is a vestibular rehabilitation therapist, and can successfully treat certain types of dizziness and BPPV. He also has completed the initial phase of the FCAM in Australia, external pelvic floor assessment and treatment, chronic pain management, spinal manipulation and eager to learn more. He works with a variety of orthopedic and neurological injuries particularly in motor vehicle accident sufferers and work-related injuries. Among his areas of interest in practice are treating shoulder and back injuries
Mr. Joshua Kim, B SC Kinesiology
Joshua is a Kinesiologist at Diverse Sports Physical Therapy. He received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Kinesiology at the University of Calgary. He is involved in the Physio Pass program, the Weight Management program, and the Orthotics Program at the clinic. Joshua played volleyball growing up, and has been passionate about sports throughout his life. He enjoys playing volleyball, basketball, and ball hockey in his spare time, as well as cheering for the Calgary Flames and Golden State Warriors.
Michelle Wan, Registered Acupuncturist
Michelle has successfully treated patients with health problems throughout the whole body including stress, anxiety, depression, headaches, migraines, dizziness, swelling, weight loss and digestive problems (IBS). She’s also successfully helped with infertility, pregnancy care including nausea and induction and woman’s health problems. She has alleviated musculoskeletal pain including areas such as the neck, back, shoulders, elbows and knees.
Andi graduated from the University of Calgary in 2010, with a Bachelor of Kinesiology (with distinction), Majoring in Pedagogy with a Coaching Concentration. She then went on to complete her Masters degree in Physical Therapy in 2016 from the University of Alberta.
Sports have always been Andi’s number one passion, having played competitive soccer, volleyball, golf, and track and field as a youth. However, Ringette has always been Andi’s biggest passion, having played for over 18 years, including one season with the University of Calgary Dino’s, and still playing competitively today. Andi also coached younger athletes in Ringette for over 6 years. It is through this passion in sports, movement, and the human body that drove Andi into pursuing Physical Therapy.
Andi’s treatment style consists of manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, education, and most importantly, building a connection with her clients. Andi strives to get to know all her clients, their interests and hobbies, looking past just analyzing their injury, and hopes to make a positive impact so that they can successfully return to doing what they love.
As a life long learner, Andi plans to enhance her Physical Therapy knowledge with continuing education through the Canadian Physiotherapy Association Orthopaedic Division Levels and Sport Physiotherapy Canada training. She will also be pursuing certification in functional dry needling and concussion treatment.
Priyanka Sud, B.Ph.T
Priyanka graduated in 2010 from PGIMER, India which is one of the leading institute in Asia. Based on her skills and dedication she was granted full scholarship in all the four years of her under graduation. She soon began her career and practiced in a multidisciplinary outpatient clinic and in a hospital where she helped in rehabilitation of the patients who had undergone brain/ spinal surgeries.
After working for more than a year, she moved to Canada for further studies. In Canada, she achieved a post graduate certificate in Exercise Science and Lifestyle Management with honours from Humber College, Toronto. This program enhanced her skills in preparing exercise programs for individuals with different medical/surgical conditions.
Priyanka is now a recognized Physiotherapist in Canada. She is certified in Functional Dry Needling , treats patients with pelvic floor dysfunction and will be setting her sights next on achieving manual therapy levels.
Dustin graduated in 2009 from the University of Regina as a 3 time Academic All Canadian Athlete with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree. After graduating Dustin spent several years working in international insurance before he decided it was time to make a career change.
Dustin’s decision to pursue a career in Physical Therapy was influenced by the positive experiences he had as a patient when recovering from numerous hockey and training related injuries.
Dustin is a graduate from the University of Alberta with a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy. He has also completed the ITPT certification in concussion management through IMPACT and LearnIMS dry needling course.
